Job Description
He should be able to prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes/ foods according to recipes and as per instructions of Chef
Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking. He should possess excellent knowledge of Indian Cuisine.
He have to assist continental and tandoor cooks and other cooks during emergencies and rush period.
Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently,using methods such as tasting,smelling or piercing them utensils.
Weigh,measure and mix ingredients according to recipes ,personal judgement and experience.
He should be able to regulate temperature of ovens,grills,broilers,roasters etc.
Bake,Roast,Broil and steam meats,fish,vegetables and other foods.
Portion,arrange,garnish food and serve to waiters ,Khansamas or food & beverage executives.
He should be able to work in a team and if necessary handle a team.
He should be self motivated,efficient and hardworking.He should try to increase productivity levels of his own and of his team.
He should possess knowledge of food safety,hygiene and cleanliness.
