Job Description

The role is the central point of contact for all build and release related activities (like enhancements. modifications etc.), new infrastructure requirements, introduction on boarding of new technologies (under direction from senior team members or management), and setting up working environment. The role includes development and maintenance of application and database build/deployment related scripts and utilities and working closely with development and QA teams. The goal is to fully automate the compiling of various applications, database scripts, deployment of code / execution of scripts to the Dev/QA/Prod servers and general configuration management.

You would be responsible for participating in automation tasks and code and design reviews

You would be responsible for constructing and creating architecture and maintaining a robust continuous integration and deployment solution whereby development teams will have the ability to move software solutions and associated test code into a continuous delivery pipeline with little manual intervention

You will design, implement, manage and optimize builds and automated release for critical applications.

Enhance and maintain the existing build utilities, deployment utilities and SSDT

You will manage and deliver error-free and testable daily and milestone release builds.

Provision and maintain environments as required by the application development, quality assurance teams.

Provide a timely and effective response to environment/release queries by analyzing, investigating and fixing them as required.

7+ years of experience in DevOps capacity (preferably in product based company financial sector)

Strong troubleshooting and Analytical skills

Hands on experience of working in

Build and Release activities

SSDT and automated build tools

Scripting languages - Shell scripting, Power Shell, Python (nice to have)

Code Management System like SVN, TFS etc.

Continuous Integration Tools like Jenkins

Project Management tools like JIRA

Experience with the Microsoft technology stack (MSSQL Server, .net/C#, etc.).
