Job Description

Develop the sales strategy for the different regions and geographies so as to de-risk the customer and geography concentration

Knowledge and management of Strategic Sales and Key Account Handling.

Grow sales for the market by driving resources to attain sales and profitability targets

Focus on winning new customers in current and new markets

Increase Net Sales Realization (NSR) by focusing on product innovation and the sales of new products

Institute and monitor systems for tracking Leads and Opportunities.

Review/recommend/suggest pricing depending on the value of the deal and the quantity of purchase

Marketing Strategy, Planning & Review

Identify markets to focus on based on market intelligence and the diversification / de-risking needs of the home textiles business

Review the size and characteristics of markets, and assess the competitive, economic, social and political forces affecting growth or decline

Expand the customer base in current and new geographies

Forge alliances with customers that give Trident a better edge over competitors

Develop brand alliances for the international market

Develop strategies to leverage existing products of the business into new markets and manage the product portfolio for maximum profitability (based on EBITDA and tonnage targets set by business head)

Manage marketing operations as per the long term and annual marketing plan to ensure that the business marketing team is focused on the right product-market segments, is using the right pricing, channels and promotion for these segments and is able to maximize its sales realizations in each of these segments

Customer Management

Identify and manage a very select group of customers who are high value/ high growth customers for the business across markets, channels and products

Manage customer relationships with key customers of Trident and ensure that customer needs are studies and the requirements communicated to the relevant functions in the Business

Hand over account management responsibilities to identified account /sales managers and hand hold them and provide necessary support

Effectively manage business relationships with key customers to grow business

Channel Management 

Establish a domestic distribution channel (modern trade, general trade, dealers etc.) and direction for channel management to drive profitability and growth

Develop channel strategies and mix, manage the relationships with key channel partners (international) (e.g. agents) to drive profitability and growth

Manage sales operations and sales activity to maintain and grow the market share & help achieve business targets and targeted profitability in all geographies

Innovation / R&D / New products

Identifying the gaps in the product range and ensure right positioning of the products in the market

Initiate research into customer trends to identify the right products, marketing strategies and markets to target

Support the R&D team in the development of new products that have significant earning potential and increase NSR
