As a Network Tools Engineer, you will operate the company's internal and external facing data communications systems, including LANs and/or WANs. Primary role is Network Tools Maintenance, Implementation and regularly testing and support also help monitor and maintain the Expedia network. You will be responsible for the smooth operation of the access and backbone network monitoring, ensuring it is always available and performing well. You are team-oriented and a fast learner who combines excellent operational judgement with network, management and troubleshooting skills. You will learn quickly and adapt to changes. You will maintain a high sense of urgency while staying cool under pressure
Technical prime for complete customer engagement including demos and trials with main focus on Network Element Management System (EMS)
As part of the process, capture and translate customer requirements into workable solutions and test plans when required. Capture any product issues and feed into R&D processes for resolution. Capture any customer requests for incremental capabilities that could potentially be rolled into upcoming releases.
Ensure customer and Ciena engineering are updated regularly on all issues during the testing.
Develop trusted working relationship with customer.
Support APAC account/Sales Engineers in pre-sales activities that include answering technical questions, customer bid (RFP/RFI) technical support or providing technical consultancy/presentations and training to the customer, solution evaluation and design
Support deployment and post sales support teams as required.
Manage software modification requests and action items raised by the customer
Multitasking and adaptability to changing project, priorities and market demands.
