Job Description

Preference will be given to graduates from premier engineering colleges. Senior Design Engineer shall co-ordinate with Project Manager and Technical Manager/Principal Engineer and be primarily involved in delivering the scheduled tasks in the form of design calculations and drawings. Expected to be a good team player within the design team, the Design Engineer will. Candidate having 5+ experience as core competency in fire-fighting engineering. Must have experience in detail engineering project of complete thermal power plant. Hands-on experience on Pipe Net and thorough knowledge of TAC & NFPA is also required. Detailed job experience required as under. Preparation of basic engineering documents e.g. design basis report, equipment sizing calculation, P&I Diagram, operation & control philosophy etc.

Preparation of technical specification and evaluation of technical bids, received from various Bidders

Vendor drawing review

Preparation of hydrant and spray piping layout

Preparation of layout and isometric for piping, down-stream of deluge valve

Perform sizing calculation for firewater pumps, foam system, clean agent system etc.

Perform network analysis for hydrant and spray system using Pipe-Net

Perform hydraulic calculation for spray system, down-stream of deluge valve using Pipe-Net

Preparation of Bill of Quantity

Basic knowledge of detection & alarm system
